About this Role

This role will work on developing our cloud environment and data platform, including conception and architecture, and building a global, scalable infrastructure. 
Our technology stack includes:

• Cloudflare as our CDN, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as our cloud provider
• Kubernetes (GKE) as our container orchestration
• Crossplane for Infrastructure as Code
• ArgoCD for Kubernetes GitOps, GitHub Actions for CI operations
• Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry, AlertManger, and Grafana for building our observability and monitoring system

Key Tasks and Deliverables

• Build, expand and maintain our Kubernetes-based infrastructure across different regions
• Develop tooling and automation for operation processes such as cluster provisioning, application deployment, DNS management, Load balancer management, etc.
• Be part of the on-call rotation
• Improve our monitoring and alerting stack to advance observability
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes and implement fixes
• Improve build, deployment, and release pipelines to harden and speed up the processes 
• Create internal, technical documentation covering implemented changes
• Foster the DevOps principles and practices, promote the DevOps approach among other teams
• Support cybersecurity incident response and forensic activities
• Contribute to our Open Source projects and our team's Software Development Life Cycle

Minimum Requirements

• Work from the office in Gliwice / Poland  
• Live in Gliwice region (no paid relocation)
• Bachelor degree in a MINT subject (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, technology), economics or a comparable education. 
• 3+ years of experience in building, improving, and maintaining cloud-native solutions using GCP (or other cloud provider)
• Hands-on Kubernetes user, experienced in either application development or platform administration (CKAD, CKA is a plus)
• Professional Experience with Go or Python and bash scripting knowledge 
• Practical understanding of monitoring applications and infrastructure, as well as a security mindset
• Practical understanding of the DevSecOps principles balancing speed of delivery and security
• Familiar with working in a production setting
• Good English skills
